AP Professionals has partnered with a local MSP that is growing and in search of a  full-time, highly motivated, and personable Technical Account Manager to join their team! Serve as the go-to contact to local business owners and assist with making sure their IT infrastructure is well-managed, secure, and maintained. Collaborate with staff, manage the project workflow, and provide technical solutions. Prior technical experience is required, the ability to guide and assist client contacts is a must!

This is a full-time, direct hire position with an onsite requirement at a centrally located Rochester, NY office. This position offers opportunities for bonuses, continued advancement, and certifications!


  • Collaborate directly with business owners across multiple states to ensure their IT infrastructure is well-managed, secure, and properly maintained.
  • Recommend improvements, security enhancements, or operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee technical staff and manage project workflows.
  • Propose technical solutions, prepare and deliver quotes, and follow up on sales and closures.
  • Forecast and manage the end-of-life or warranty expirations for servers, workstations, networks, hardware, and software.
  • Audit client environments against industry standards to ensure operational excellence and recommended cybersecurity controls, and create tasks for the engineering team to address any issues.
  • Assist with project management and compliance remediation for requirements such as HIPAA, NIST/DFARS, PCI, etc.
  • Prepare, schedule, and conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with customers, including reviewing statistics, open service requests, and project statuses.
  • Build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients.
  • Assist in the creation of Statements of Work (SOW) and Bills of Materials (BOM).


  • 5+ years of experience supporting Windows in a commercial setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, VMware, Citrix, Networking, and Security
  • Experience working at a Managed Service Provider
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Ability to think independently and take initiative, while also being able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Microsoft certifications in Azure, Microsoft 365, or other Microsoft technologies
  • Familiarity with RMM tools such as Kaseya or PSA tools such as Autotask
