Technical Sales Representative

AP Professionals has partnered with a local company that has been in business for decades in search of a Technical Sales Rep. The ideal candidate will poses a general understanding of HVAC systems and applications.

Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Draft customer proposals
• Perform HVAC load calculations for customers
• Analyze customer specifications and help determine suitable equipment for quotes
• Create and manage specification verification, deviations, substitutions, and exception matrices
• Serve as the technical liaison between sales and engineering teams
• Help design duct layouts and configurations
• Attend customer visits, design reviews, and follow-up meetings
• Aid in preparing, editing, and tracking submittal packages
• Assist in managing customer change orders
• Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, networking, and participating in professional societies
• Perform additional assigned duties

• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures, governmental regulations, customer drawings, schematics, and RFQs.
• Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Competent in calculating figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, sales gross margins, and profitability.
• Knowledgeable in applying concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and Ohm’s Law.
• Adept at solving practical problems and handling various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Capable of interpreting a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, design, and internet software.
