The Talent Acquisition Manager will oversee all aspects of the recruiting function, leading full-cycle hiring and implementing talent strategies that align with organizational goals. This role focuses on attracting, sourcing, and selecting exceptional candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience, and developing employer branding efforts that position the organization as a great place to work.
This position also manages internship and early-career recruiting initiatives, helping to establish pathways for students and entry-level professionals to grow within the organization. The position is primarily on-site, with the option to work remotely one day per week.
Partner with leadership to design and execute a comprehensive recruiting strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and supports long-term growth.
Strengthen employer branding through digital, social media, and marketing campaigns that reflect company culture and values.
Collaborate with leadership on the creation of promotional materials such as brochures, videos, and online content that highlight the employee experience.
Stay up to date on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and emerging best practices in recruitment.
Develop and maintain relationships with trade schools, BOCES programs, and vocational training organizations to establish consistent pipelines for skilled field and management talent.
Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a smooth, inclusive, and engaging experience for all candidates.
Proactively identify and attract qualified candidates through online platforms, networking, referrals, and professional associations.
Act as the main point of contact for external recruiting agencies and applicants, maintaining professional and timely communication.
Review resumes, conduct initial phone screenings, and facilitate interviews (in person or virtual).
Coordinate interview scheduling and guide hiring teams through selection and decision-making processes.
Provide hiring managers with training and support on interview techniques, unbiased hiring, and candidate assessment practices.
Partner with managers to extend offers, negotiate terms, and ensure a seamless onboarding transition.
Collaborate with leadership to design and manage a structured internship program that enhances early career development.
Lead college and university recruiting efforts, including attending career fairs and hosting student engagement events.
Build strong partnerships with college career centers, faculty, and professional organizations to attract top emerging talent.
Implement conversion strategies to transition high-performing interns into full-time employees.
Ensure every stage of the candidate journey reflects the organization’s values and provides a positive, professional experience.
Maintain consistent and transparent communication with candidates throughout the application and onboarding process.
Manage recruiting documentation including job postings, offer letters, and candidate feedback materials.
Uphold compliance with hiring policies, data protection regulations, and equal employment opportunity requirements.
Manage and optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and reliable reporting.
Collaborate with HR leadership to create and update job descriptions and postings.
Maintain organized and compliant recruiting records that adhere to OFCCP and Affirmative Action guidelines.
Develop process documentation and training resources to support hiring managers.
Track and analyze recruiting metrics and market trends to guide strategic decision-making.
Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and role-specific expectations.
Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all employee and candidate matters.
Oversee assigned direct reports, ensuring adherence to recruiting procedures and performance standards.
Travel as needed and maintain flexibility to accommodate varying workload demands.
Stay informed about relevant labor relations and workforce management topics.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Strong understanding of applicant tracking systems, employment laws, and recruitment analytics.
Proven success in employer branding, digital recruitment, and social media engagement.
