AP Professionals has partnered with a company near the Geneseo area in search of a Logistics Manager. The Logistics Manager plays a key role in overseeing supply chain operations, including logistics and manufacturing coordination, to ensure customers receive exceptional service across all touchpoints. This role is responsible for optimizing the logistics function by increasing capacity, improving productivity, and ensuring timely, professional, and efficient order fulfillment.
In addition to managing logistics, this role is heavily focused on enhancing the customer experience through improved communication, streamlined processes, and close collaboration with the Production and Safety teams. The Logistics Manager works proactively to resolve service issues, strengthen customer satisfaction, and reinforce loyalty. By combining supply chain expertise with a customer-first mindset, this role supports operational excellence and long-term customer relationships.

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $90,000 to $130,000 annually

Essential Functions
- Foster a positive department culture by ensuring professional, courteous interactions with internal and external customers to support an outstanding customer experience.
- Lead and coach the dispatch team to support our 24/7 Northeastern operations with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional service.
- Oversee shipments from order entry through delivery, including documentation, to ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
- Schedule drivers and guide dispatchers in building efficient pick-up and delivery routes to maximize equipment use and meet service expectations.
- Proactively identify potential delivery disruptions; communicate with dispatchers and customers about route changes or delays as needed.
- Improve route performance and productivity through strategic planning and autonomous decision-making, always prioritizing customer needs.
- Coordinate with third-party carriers as needed to support demand while maintaining service standards.
- Collaborate with ASR Group on fleet operations, reporting, customer service, product distribution, and future planning.
- Oversee and maintain operational records:
- Ensure proper documentation for scheduled, missed, and additional pick-ups, route completion, and driver locations. Hold drivers accountable for timely and accurate reporting.
- Review daily driver logs for errors or compliance issues. Support dispatchers in maintaining driver compliance with hours of service regulations and internal policies.
- Define and report logistics performance metrics, with a focus on customer satisfaction and service efficiency.
- Partner with the Sr. Manager of Fleet and Logistics to support:
- Capital equipment planning to support company growth.
- Coordination with maintenance and facilities for managing driver and trailer capacity, while monitoring preventative maintenance schedules.
- Oversight of driver and equipment assignments to ensure on-time delivery and service continuity.
- Serve as a liaison to the maintenance team and respond to urgent mechanical or operational issues, keeping customers updated.
- Assist Sales and Accounting with customer contract management and billing accuracy to ensure a smooth invoicing experience for customers.
- Work with Human Resources to:
- Maintain up-to-date driver records including medical certifications, licensing, and drug testing compliance.
- Support accurate and timely driver payroll through review of time submissions, trip sheets, and time-off requests.
- Address performance concerns with drivers and contribute to resolution strategies that support service excellence.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement:
- Identify and implement new technologies or process enhancements that improve customer satisfaction.
- Assess training needs and organize ongoing development programs for drivers and supervisors, emphasizing service quality and professionalism.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for customers and drivers, ensuring uninterrupted service.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Support recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring new team members align with service standards and driver management expectations.
- Deliver timely and constructive performance reviews with a focus on customer service effectiveness and driver leadership.
- Oversee the daily operations of assigned teams, maintaining smooth workflow and ensuring high service levels.
- Manage driver time-off requests while ensuring adequate coverage to meet delivery schedules.
- In collaboration with Human Resources, handle employee disciplinary actions or terminations in accordance with company policy, with a focus on fairness, accountability, and service consistency.
