AP Professionals has partnered with a local manufacturing company to find an Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist. This role will be fully onsite and responsible for managing accounts payable and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting, while maintaining confidentiality and implementing process improvements. Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and entry of complex A/P transactions, including credit-card statements, utilities, deposits, benefit invoices, contractors, and credits.
  • Analyze, prepare, and issue weekly payments according to specified terms.
  • Oversee Month-End Day 1 close of Accounts Payable.
  • Handle various A/P-related general ledger reconciliations as part of the month-end cycle.
  • Identify and implement process improvements related to duties.
  • Research and resolve A/P issues, including credit memo management and payment discrepancies.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of weekly timecards and import them, along with PTO records, into the payroll system.
  • Ensure the integrity of all payroll calculations, entries, and adjustments with high accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the HR Department to ensure accurate recording of employee activity and proper documentation per corporate and HR policies.
  • Analyze, prepare, and issue Benefit Reports.
  • Process irregular payments, such as bonuses, PTO payouts, and adjustments.
  • Prepare periodic payroll reports for management review.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in coordination with the Accounting Manager.

Education

  • Associate's degree in Accounting required.

Experience

  • 4 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
