Come join a growing team at a well-established global manufacturer located on the west side of Rochester.  Due to recent acquisitions, the company has added an accountant position.  You will join a team of independent, high performers who will guide the development of your accounting expertise as you manage various entities and their financial accounting needs.  You will be helping build sound financial accounting procedures and provide the reporting of financial information for business decisions. This role is on-site and within a small but mighty accounting team of around 10 people


  • Produces and reviews accounting entries and adjusting journal entries.
  • Provides account reconciliations on a periodic basis- monthly, quarterly, annually.
  • Documents and updates accounting procedures on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepares sales tax returns and maintains supporting documentation.
  • Provides information as requsted for company audits.
  • Is involved with preparing customer bills related to freight charges, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Prepares monthly sales reports and balances to the financials .
  • Maintains accurate customer information within the master database.
  • Accounts for fixed assets and ansures accurate tracking and depreciation.
  • Tracks advance payments from customers and ensures invoices account for them.
  • Acts as back up and assists with customers on credit issues and cash collections.


A bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.  However, an accountant with an associate's degree plus relevant prior experience will be considered for this position assuming other criteria match with the expectations of the role.


A minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience is required to be considered for this position. In addition, this position requires the accountant to have demonstrated experience  with all modules of Microsoft Office.
