Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local medical practice to find an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk. This role will handle all aspects of accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R), along with managing daily deposits for various entities.

Responsibilities

  • Process A/P transactions for multiple entities in QuickBooks accurately.
  • Verify vendor invoices and check requests for accuracy, documentation, and approval.
  • Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to ensure consistency.
  • Prioritize and schedule invoices for weekly check runs, securing management approval as needed.
  • Issue checks or process electronic payments.
  • Reconcile credit card statements and allocate expenses correctly.
  • Maintain and update vendor records in QuickBooks.
  • Monitor and resolve A/P discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes related to A/P.
  • Accurately post daily cash transactions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate recording of cash receipts by collaborating with internal teams.
  • Act as the primary contact for internal A/R inquiries.
  • Investigate and resolve cash posting discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized financial records for all entities in QuickBooks.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Identify and recommend improvements for A/P and A/R processes.
  • Assist with audits and other financial reviews as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Education

  • Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of work accurately, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and improve processes.
