This position has opened due to company growth and departmental restructuring as the organization brings more accounting functions in-house.

Responsibilities

  • Process, code, and obtain approvals for vendor invoices.
  • Record accounting entries for purchases and related transactions.
  • Maintain organized accounts payable files and vendor records.
  • Review and analyze key vendor expenses for accuracy and cost effectiveness.
  • Prepare and process both ACH and manual check payments.
  • Verify and post transactions to maintain accurate accounting ledgers.
  • Support month-end close processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Manage and reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Assist with compliance tasks and documentation as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute year-end 1099 forms.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Teams).
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
  • QuickBooks experience preferred, but not required.
  • Background or familiarity with agriculture or rural communities is a plus.
