Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a local real estate company in search of a meticulous and well-organized Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant. This role will be responsible for managing A/P and A/R, expense tracking, credit card reconciliation, escrow transfers, 1099 prep support, bank deposits, and serving as backup to the Finance Manager. This position is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Review, enter, and process vendor invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Prepare and send invoices, track incoming payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Monitor employee and business expenses; support client billing and expense reporting processes.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions, ensuring correct coding and proper documentation.
  • Support and serve as backup to the Finance Manager in processing escrow account transfers.
  • Gather vendor details and assist with the preparation and filing of year-end 1099 forms.
  • Handle daily deposit preparation, recording, and log maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with monthly reconciliations and closings.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager and other departments on various finance-related tasks and projects.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
  • Experience in real estate is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficiency with accounting software, especially Broker Wolf.
  • Solid knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and reconciliations.
  • Understanding of 1099 reporting and escrow accounting is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
