Controller

AP Professionals has partnered with a premier local company in search of an experienced Controller. The Controller will be responsible for leading accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and enhancing financial performance of the company. This position is fully onsite.

• Manage all facets of corporate accounting, including accounts payable, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports in line with regulatory standards.
• Ensure adherence to applicable financial laws and regulations.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, offering strategic insights on financial performance.
• Supervise and support the accounting team in daily operations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.
• Leverage accounting systems such as Sage and QuickBooks for effective financial oversight.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate and compliant audit processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification a plus.

• Proven experience as a Controller or in a senior accounting role.
• Experience with budget preparation, financial reporting, and audits.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Sage and QuickBooks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
