Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a leading technology company seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Human Resources. This role will be responsible for leading HR initiatives across U.S. and Canadian operations and driving talent acquisition, employee development, and retention strategies that support business goals. As a key member of the leadership team, you will serve as a trusted advisor, culture champion, and change agent—helping to build an engaged, high-performing workforce and enabling organizational growth. This position is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve core HR functions, including recruitment, compliance, policy development, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with overall business goals and growth initiatives.
  • Manage, support, and develop HR and front desk teams to build a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Drive leadership development programs, including succession planning, individual development plans, and annual leadership meetings.
  • Promote employee engagement by evaluating and enhancing HR practices and business procedures.
  • Serve as the HR representative on cross-functional leadership teams across U.S. operations and affiliated business units.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP a plus.

Experience

  • Multiple years of increasing responsibility in human resources management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance, or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Broad HR leadership experience with strong business acumen and strategic focus.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Background in training, employee development, or HR specialist areas such as recruiting and compensation.
  • Experience in mid-sized, fast-paced, or entrepreneurial environments.
  • Industry experience in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Known for building culture, driving change, and supporting growth with integrity, critical thinking, and compassion.
