Electrical Design Engineer

AP Professionals has partnered with a Design and Consulting firm looking to add an Electrical Design Engineer (PE) to their growing Rochester, NY team.  This would be a great opportunity for an energetic individual to work collaboratively with a PE on meaningful projects. Candidates with an entrepreneur mindset that want to grow are highly encouraged to apply.

This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.

• Drafting, design, completing redline markups, setting up and improving electrical CAD and Revit standards.
• Collaborate and coordinate regularly with project architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Perform code review, write design narratives, engineering studies, and develop Electrical Design Drawings.
• Prepare written specifications, and construction administration of designed projects.
• Establish Electrical Drafting and BIM standards.

• Electrical Engineering Degree, EIT and PE path is a plus.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Experience in AutoCAD and Revit BIM.
• Experience with specifications and cost estimating is a plus.
• Healthcare, Higher Education, and Vertical Transportation Design Experience is a plus.
