Electrical Design Engineer

AP Professionals is partnering with a local company in search of an Electrical Design Engineer

• Undertakes tasks aimed at cultivating the skills of the Design Engineer.
• Applies engineering principles and established designs to formulate project layouts and designs.
• Collaborates with Senior Engineers, Project Engineers, Group Managers, Associates, and/or Principals.
• Executes assignments independently following general instructions regarding expected outcomes.
• Seeks guidance for atypical issues and secures supervisory approval for finalized plans.
• Aids in preparing contractual documents.
• Strategizes, schedules, and oversees all stages of work for projects of moderate scope, either in part or entirety.
• Executes traditional engineering tasks, including standard designs.
• Conducts engineering computations.
• Expands upon detailed schematic sketches to develop basic designs.
• Facilitates production and coordination in conjunction with Senior Engineers/Designers or Project Engineers/Designers.
• Performs any other assigned duties as necessary.

• Completion of an Associate Degree, Bachelor of Science Degree, or an equivalent blend of education and practical experience.

• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar programs is essential.
• Knowledge of circuit design, PCB layout, and simulation software like SPICE is often required.
• Understanding of electrical systems, components, and devices, including analog and digital electronics, power distribution systems, and control systems.
