Graphic Cutter / Kit Assembler

AP has partnered with a company located on the westside of Rochester to source a Graphic Cutter/Kit Assembler to join their team. They are looking for someone early in their career to start with them in their assembly department. This will be an additional person due to increased demand for their products. The plan is to train the new person and then move others up into new roles.

A successful Graphic Cutter and Kit Assembler will work with the assistance of the Senior Assemblers and Distribution Team, to receive orders, cut, assemble, and ship kits, organize inventory and determine best use of materials. Having a positive attitude, attention to detail, execution, organization skills, communication skills, and follow through on all tasks will drive success. • Receives orders.
• Processes orders.
• Assembles kits in a timely manner.
• Organizes and determines best use of inventory.
• Tracks inventory at headquarters and factories.
• Handles shipping to include FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
• Takes trash out daily, keeps clean workspace throughout the day, sweeping, mopping etc.
• Ensures weekly task checklist is completed with the assembly team.

• HS Degree or similar

• Any previous experience in the print industry is highly desired
• Experience with printing, tinting, applied graphics preferred
• Experience with product assembly/manufacturing preferred

• Ability to read, write, type and perform tasks on Microsoft office
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Present a positive and professional attitude
• Basic organizational and time management skills
• A compassionate and competitive nature
• Basic communication skills
• Must pass background check
• Reliable transportation
