A highly respected and established law firm located in the heart of downtown Rochester is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Manage document production and organization using litigation support platforms.
  • File documents in state and federal courts via e-filing systems (NYSCEF, PACER).
  • Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and court appearances.
  • Assist in trial preparation including assembling exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
  • Conduct research and gather information from various sources including court records and public filings.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other third parties.
  • Maintain client files and documentation in accordance with Firm procedures.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Experience with state and federal e-filing systems.
  • Prior collections or bankruptcy experience is a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys and other staff.
