We are looking for a reliable and detail oriented Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join our on-site team. This role provides support for daily accounting functions, including processing transactions, performing reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The position offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for someone who values precision and enjoys contributing to a collaborative and professional environment.
This is a part-time, hourly position with a flexible schedule during standard business hours.
Record daily cash transactions in Sage accounting software
Prepare and process daily bank deposits
Manage accounts payable and generate checks for vendor payments
Assist with monthly bank reconciliations
Review and allocate AMEX transactions accurately
Process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy
Help prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax reports
Apply incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts
Open and sort incoming mail and maintain accounting records
Assist with the development and coordination of the annual budget
Support the finance team during the annual audit
Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed
Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field
Familiarity with Sage or similar accounting software is strongly preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software
Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
