Payroll Specialist

AP Professionals has partnered with a local company in search of a Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payroll, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining payroll records for assigned employees and regions.

• Review and verify time records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for assigned employees and regions.
• Handle pay adjustments, including rate changes, bonuses, and incentives.
• Administer wage garnishments as required.
• Generate overtime and statistical reports for management.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Ensure accuracy of payroll tax returns, including W-2 forms.
• Record third-party sick pay in the payroll system on a quarterly basis.
• Prepare wage verification notices as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing timely issue resolution for employees and managers.
• Train managers and employees on timekeeping and payroll procedures.
• Uphold confidentiality of employee payroll records.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
• Assist with payroll tasks and provide backup support as necessary.

• Associate's degree required.

• 2 years of experience processing payroll.

• Experience with ADP WorkforceNow preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Strong ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of meeting deadlines effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
