Project Manager / Estimator

AP Professionals has partnered with a Plumbing and Heating company that has a new Project Manager/Estimator opening!  The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for managing and overseeing the projects to ensure they are complete within plumbing code, and in a timely and efficient manner.  This individual must have strong communication skills, a leadership mindset, as well as confidence. Strong Excel skills a must, CAD experience a plus! Knowledge of plumbing helpful but not required.  This company is able to provide training for the right person.

• Meet with general contractors to determine the scope of the work and be able to understand the inclusions and exclusions in the scope of the work to properly determine a cost budget for the project
• Determine a sell price and then prepare a proposal to the General Contractor
• Review contract upon the acceptance of the project and determine time needs for material and labor
• Meet with purchasing agent to order materials and determine timing for delivery of materials
• Prepare necessary plumbing drawings
• Work with the Supervisor to staff project and communicate labor hours and job specifications so that the project can be completed within the budgeted hours
• Stay in contact with the Supervisor to monitor changes in the scope of work to be performed to complete change orders
• Meet with Controller to review monthly billing and project status

• Read and understand construction documents including plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project scope of work requirements
• Knowledge of the permitting process and obtaining permits
• Ability to budget, estimate, and track projects to develop an accurate understand of project costs and keep the project on schedule
• Excellent communication and organization skills a must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Work required
• CAD experience a plus!
