Quality Engineer

AP Professionals has partnered with a local manufacturing company in search of a Quality Engineer. There are three opportunities, a need for an entry level, a mid-level, as well as a senior level. Pay is based on position and experience.

• Design, develop, and execute activities to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality.
• Provide direct support to internal manufacturing, assembly, and runoff departments.
• Act as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing methods, and the production floor.
• Manage the triage of non-conforming materials, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and improve processes using structured problem-solving methodologies, including statistical analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ME, EE, IE, CE) or relevant work experience.

• Experience with GD&T and quality systems.
• Experience in supplier performance and development.
• 3+ years in a quality-related role.

• Understanding of CNC machines, machining processes, and their components.
• Skilled in structured problem-solving and critical thinking, leading to robust corrective actions.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to influence others without direct authority.
• Capable of supporting triage of internal non-conformances in real time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ISO Auditor Certification
• Lean Six Sigma – Black Belt
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Internet, Project Management Software, and SAP Quality Module.
