Description

AP Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturer in search of a Regulatory Compliance Specialist. The Regulatory position centers on fulfilling Customers' document requests, while ensuring adherence to business protection standards. Collaborating with multiple teams, the role supports Regulatory Compliance needs.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill an administrative role, ensuring accuracy and compliance in document requests to meet or surpass customer expectations for specific structures and needs.
  • Collaborate with all company's teams across different locations.
  • Assist in activities related to obtaining regulatory approval for raw materials, liaising with suppliers to gather new and current US and Global regulatory data.
  • Maintain the raw material database, including obtaining specific information from suppliers and ensuring regulatory approval for each applicable raw material.
  • Review material changes, customer requirements, and compliance documentation for currently produced, trial, and proposed products, adhering to US and Global regulatory standards.
  • Manage supplier, material, and customer files to ensure ongoing compliance with US and Global directives and regulations.
  • Offer guidance to Sales, Technical, Quality, Customer Service, and Operational teams on material regulatory compliance to address customer and regulatory concerns.
  • Monitor and provide relevant documents for customer requests in external document systems.
  • Aid the Technical team in sample submission for customer-required analysis.
  • Stay updated on changing US and Global regulations, customer compliance issues, and supplier material changes.
  • Actively participate in training and adhere to the Safety Program fundamentals to contribute to the company's goal of achieving a zero-accident rate.
  • Attend and actively engage in all company-mandated meetings.
  • Travel for business purposes as needed.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.

Education

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with at least one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in a Science Field (Food Science, Chemistry, etc.) from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • Experience with various software, including Microsoft Office, Nexus, Radius, Work Front, etc., to obtain information and post completed documents as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Comprehensive understanding of packaging materials and familiarity with US and Global Regulatory standards and guidelines for packaging is essential.
  • Ability to meticulously craft precise responses to documentation requests, showcasing a keen attention to detail, is required.
