Description

AP Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturer in search of a Sales Account Specialist. The Sales Account Specialist aids Field Account Managers and Sales teams by creating quotes, processing orders, and addressing client inquiries regarding expediting and order adjustments. Your role includes fostering robust client connections to enhance revenue streams and spotting prospects for extra product and contract manufacturing ventures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Field Account Managers to address client needs effectively.
  • Cultivate and reinforce client relationships, fostering enduring partnerships.
  • Prepare formal quotations for customer review, diligently following up to secure business.
  • Maintain meticulous client records, tracking quotes, orders, releases, changes, expedited requests, shipping, and returns accurately.
  • Acquire an in-depth knowledge of our suppliers' products to facilitate upselling and cross-selling.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our contract manufacturing offerings.
  • Monitor open order reports to assess stock levels and adjust as necessary.
  • Review expedite reports daily and inform customers promptly of any delivery concerns.
  • Manage a cross-reference database of customer part numbers and manufacturer part numbers.
  • Update and maintain customer drawings and prints, ensuring the cross-reference file reflects the latest revisions.
  • Engage in vendor product training sessions.
  • Initiate outbound calls and emails to both potential and existing customers to promote products and services.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties as required.

Education

  • Possession of an Associate's Degree.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience in a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational prowess.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot (or any other CRM), and/or AS/400 is advantageous.
