Description

AP Professionals is collaborating with a local manufacturer in search of a Sakes Manager. As an essential part of the dynamic Sales Team, the Sales Manager is pivotal in driving sales growth by cultivating professional relationships to secure new accounts and expanding sales within existing ones. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Logistics, Marketing, Quality, and R&D, to support and sustain high-growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed plans by account and region to address both long-term and short-term goals.
  • Oversee the achievement and fulfillment of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain regular communication with assigned customers to nurture relationships, inform them of new product offerings, and gather product feedback.
  • Achieve business goals through effective distribution, volume management, promotion execution, new product launches, and budget management.
  • Create, implement, and manage ongoing goals for the broker network; regularly review business performance with broker teams in each region. Lead distributors, brokers, and internal teams to meet sales targets and objectives. Drive initiatives for new product introductions and retail distribution.
  • Successfully secure product placements in new key retail stores, chains, and accounts.
  • Monitor customer performance to develop strategies for addressing challenges and maximizing opportunities.

Education

  • BS in Business or a related field is required. An Associate Degree with relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience with Food and/or Beverage products or other CPG products within a broker or consumer products company.
  • Proven track record in executing sales, growing a book of business, and consistently delivering positive business results.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Account management experience with grocery chain headquarters or regional grocery chains preferred.
  • Experience with distributors across various trade segments preferred.
  • Broker management experience preferred.
