Description

AP Professionals is partnering with a local software/IT company looking for a Sales Operations Manager. The Sales Operations Manager plays a key role in optimizing and managing sales processes to improve team performance and drive revenue growth. This position supports the Managing Director of Sales by implementing tools, strategies, and streamlined operations that enhance efficiency and contribute to overall sales success. It requires a strategic mindset, strong attention to detail, and a focus on operational excellence within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and refine the sales processes to drive greater efficiency and consistency across the sales team.
  • Manage and optimize CRM and sales tools (such as Salesforce, Zoom Info, and LinkedIn) to maintain data accuracy, improve reporting, and enhance pipeline visibility.
  • Analyze sales performance data to uncover trends, identify gaps, and recommend improvements that support strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development of sales enablement resources, including marketing materials, training tools, and internal documentation.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of sales forecasts and performance reports to inform leadership decisions.
  • Research, recommend, and roll out sales technologies that boost team productivity and align with company priorities.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure unified execution of business strategies.
  • Uphold compliance with internal policies by documenting processes and maintaining standardized procedures.
  • Participate in recruitment activities by reviewing candidate resumes and coordinating with internal teams during the interview process.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales operations, sales enablement, or a similar role, with a preference for backgrounds in SaaS or technology environments.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Skilled in using CRM and sales tools like Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and Zoom Info.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams, with a solid understanding of tools used throughout the sales process.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, SPIN, or Challenger.
  • Advanced ability to analyze data and generate reports using Excel and business intelligence tools.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
