Senior Accountant

AP Professionals has partnered with a local firm in search of a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of accounting records and overseeing daily accounting operations, including the monthly calculation and distribution of dividends to investors. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, financial analysis, and organizational skills, along with a focus on process improvement and keen attention to detail. This position is hybrid.

• Create and distribute monthly statements to investors.
• Calculate investor distributions and prepare monthly investor payments.
• Manage monthly bill payments.
• Handle monthly close responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Assist in preparing for financial statement audits, including schedule preparation and collaboration with auditors during fieldwork.
• Work with tax accountants to provide necessary year-end information for tax preparation.
• Assist with K-1 distribution.
• Support the Controller by assisting with external monthly and quarterly reporting, ad hoc analysis, property accounting, capital call coordination, and more.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in public accounting.

• Proactive and capable of taking initiative with strong leadership abilities.
• Proficient in QuickBooks.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• High standards for accuracy, organization, and adaptability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a team in a hands-on development role.
• Excellent customer service in interactions with investors.
