Senior Accountant

AP Professionals has partnered with a leading technology company in search of a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will support the financial growth of two fast-growing North American subsidiaries within a global organization. This role offers a mix of hands-on accounting, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to build expertise across both product and SaaS business models—all within a collaborative and team-focused environment.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and record standard and adjusting journal entries.
• Manage contract billing, including daily invoicing for inventory shipments and recurring software contracts.
• Record entries related to capitalized software development and amortization.
• Process accounts payable and employee expense reports.
• Calculate and maintain detailed sales commission records.
• Collaborate with the U.S. accounting team to reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Support compliance, reporting, and statutory filings in coordination with leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• At least 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in public accounting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Canadian statutory requirements is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Word, and Access.
• Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Sage 100 or MAS 90 is a plus.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Skilled at managing multiple priorities and communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and work ethic.
