AP Professionals is partnering with a local company in search of an Senior Electrical Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor, exhibiting a vested interest in enhancing reputation and fostering its growth.
  • Proficient in all conventional aspects of engineering within their designated area.
  • Plans and executes tasks requiring independent judgment, including the evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques and procedures.
  • Collaborates with Principals, Associates, or Project Managers to finalize project scope, deliverable schedules, and grasp identified priorities.
  • Beyond the responsibilities of a project engineer/designer, applies advanced methodologies and techniques, adjusts data, identifies discrepancies, and oversees projects through various phases, including program development, schematic design, construction documents, bidding, and construction.
  • Supervises, coordinates, and reviews work, assigning tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Produces reports, conducts studies, and performs system analyses.
  • Demonstrates efficiency, effectiveness, and sound decision-making in work practices.
  • Assesses the suitability of alternative equipment applications.
  • Reviews equipment and system adjustments post-installation.
  • Directly communicates with clients, except in contentious matters.
  • Capable of representing the firm at meetings, addressing all trades, and ensuring follow-through as necessary.
  • Receives support from other engineers and/or designers on projects.
  • Estimates workforce requirements, schedules, and assigns tasks to meet project deadlines, providing regular updates to the project manager on progress and available resources.
  • Mentors and provides training for junior engineers and designers.
  • Undertakes any additional duties as assigned.

Education

  • Ideally holds a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or is an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) progressing towards P.E. licensure.
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Eight years of experience overseeing project design within the respective discipline, supplemented by advanced coursework, training programs, or seminars in Engineering and Management.
