AP Professionals has partnered with a global company headquartered in Rochester. They have been one of the fastest growing companies according to the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce over the past few years and are continuing that trend.  As such, the company is adding a position- Senior Product Manager- to  build out new produts and serrivces in response to customer feedback.  These are in addition to the current products and services already offered and enhance the overall options for their customers.

This position is accountable for projects, including business process improvements and new product implementations for existing customers.   They are responsible to oversee the planning and implementation of these initiatives, including establishing timelines, facilitating effective communication, and reporting status to Senior Leadership. The Senior Product Manager is champion of the project management discipline and will assist in creating a formal stage gate process for this growing organization.

The Senior Product Manager will be customer facing and focusing on their engagement and feedback to identify opportunities to build deeper relationships while growing the services that support the customer's needs.  This requires a professional who is curious, listens well, digs into data, and formulates recommendations for products and  account services teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver projects that meet customers’ and stakeholders’ expectations
  • Analyze customer feedback and data to identify new or enhanced product offerings
  • Lead the development of  a formal stage gate process with cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage projects across five process groups:  initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing
  • Lead/Influence project personnel to deliver projects to schedule. Find alternatives to mitigate setbacks. Balance timing across multiple projects to deliver for multiple stakeholders. Identify additional resources (money, people, equipment) needed
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
  • Participate in on-site customer visits for the purpose of gathering feedback and build customer engagement

Education

This position pefers someone whose education has achieved a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relatable discipline.  However, in understaning the nuances of this position, consideration will be given to applicants who possess demonstrated applicable experience in product and project management, customer success, and data analysis.

Experience

  • 5-7+ years of experience in managing projects
  • Experience working within a stage gate process and knowledge on how to lead a team to create one
  • Experience with ERP implementations is a strong plus
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects to deliver high impact strategic initiatives
  • Organizational change management experience
  • Experience interacting with customers to elicit feedback and build engagement
  • PMP certification a plus
