Description

AP Professionals is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst with 3–5 years of experience to our client’s growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate insights effectively, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
  • Analyze financial results, key performance indicators, and business trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Partner with business units to track performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Support scenario planning, cost optimization, and ROI analysis for strategic initiatives.
  • Own portions of the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial statement review.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of month-end reporting packages.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to investigate variances, resolve discrepancies, and provide detailed explanations for leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA a plus).

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
