Description

A leading systems, services, and technologies provider for numerous industries is looking to bolster their accounting and finance function. Large company with a global footprint and many opportunities to grow internally. The Sr. Financial Analyst / Accountant will interface with the Controller, VP Finance, and other key leaders in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze monthly financial performance to provide continuing insight and actionable information to management.
  • Prepare and submit routine and ad hoc reports and provide supporting commentaries when appropriate.
  • Coordinate the preparation and review of the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Prepare routine, monthly, and annual journal entries in support of the month-end closing process.
  • Perform proper and timely reconciliation of general ledger balance sheet accounts, taking the lead in resolving issues.
  • Consult and collaborate with operational leaders to discuss and understand the impact of decisions on company financials.
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis as requested.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience

  • 4+ years of professional experience, with a combination of general ledger accounting and budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Prior work in the manufacturing industry.

  • Partner with functional leaders to understand business drivers and advise on financial decisions.
  • Deliver actionable insights through in-depth monthly performance analysis focused on spending, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Coordinate preparation of the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring meaningful financial planning and analysis that drives results.
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reports with clear, value-added commentary.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations and take ownership in resolving discrepancies.
