Staff Accountant

You will join a team of seven and work closely with the Director of Accounting. The right mindset is important to this team. They take pride in their work, but also understand that family comes first and truly work 40 hours per week, even during year-end. Hybrid flexibility can be offered after training and onboarding is complete, if desired.

• Assist with categorizing and verifying the accuracy of data posted to the general ledger.
• Perform monthly credit card statement reconciliations.
• Prepare sales tax filings and returns.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes, including monthly bank account reconciliations, assigned general ledger journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, and analytical review of operating expense accounts.
• Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports.
• Assist with preparation and analysis of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Assist with preparation of workpapers and reports for the annual external audit.
• Prepare special financial reports upon request from management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial information and trends.
• Work in conjunction with the accounts receivable team to support their daily processes and identify and suggest improvements to operational procedures.
• Assist with various ongoing accounting projects.

• bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required

• 2+ years of post-college accounting experience is ideal
• public accounting experience is preferred, but not required
