Staff Accountant

AP Professionals is partnering with a local property management company in search of a Staff Accountant.  The ideal candidate will ensure the timely and precise preparation of financial accounting data across multiple domains. Analytical and organizational proficiency is crucial to effectively support our accounting team in their operations.

• Oversee all facets of the accounts payable process.
• Aid the Accounts Receivable department in managing cash deposits.
• Collaborate closely with Accounting Manager(s) to facilitate month-end closing procedures for designated properties.
• Maintain and update various account reconciliations.
• Record diverse journal entries accurately.
• Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts.
• Handle miscellaneous accounting tasks as required.
• Provide support for projects as they emerge.

• Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with analytical skills.
• Proficiency in data entry with a keen eye for precision.
• Familiarity with invoices and other documents, capable of identifying crucial information for system entry.
• Ability to reconcile discrepancies, conduct research, and resolve issues effectively.
• Demonstrated adherence to standard procedures.
• Proficient in Excel and possess a working knowledge of Word.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team, adaptable to various tasks and projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
