Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a prominent CPA firm in Rochester to find a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager. The successful candidate in this role will be responsible for supervising the preparation and review of Corporate, Partnership, and Individual tax returns, leading staff training, and managing client relationships. The ideal candidate will also provide expert advisement and consultation on complex client matters, fostering a collaborative and innovative tax department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clients with guidance on internal financial matters, including budgeting, analytical analysis, and key decision-making metrics.
  • Aid in the preparation and review of Corporate, Partnership, and Individual tax returns.
  • Lead staff development and training programs.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and developments.
  • Assess and implement tax planning opportunities for entities and individuals.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • CPA required.
  • MBA preferred.

Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience with tax compliance and preparation in public accounting.
  • Extensive experience with Corporate, Partnership, and Individual tax returns.
  • Excellent research skills using resources such as CCH, RIA Checkpoint, and BNA.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, including QuickBooks.
