Description

AP Professionals is partnering with a local company seeking an experienced Technical Team Supervisor to join their team. As the Technical Team Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the attainment of company quality standards by effectively managing their in-house maintenance tech team. This position entails spearheading the development, execution, and maintenance of electrical power and control, HVAC and refrigeration, and diverse plumbing and pumping systems. A comprehensive grasp of these systems and their interrelationships within the operational framework is essential. Additionally, you will oversee and set specifications for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing contractors to guarantee seamless operations and adherence to standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Technical Team in all construction and maintenance endeavors.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction by efficiently and effectively installing and repairing electrical components.
  • Enhance expertise in the repair, installation, and maintenance of electrical components specific to the company.
  • Execute independent work in electrical installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment as appropriate.
  • Stay updated on mechanical and plumbing systems as they pertain to electrical and electronic components.
  • Complete work orders according to company standards, documenting dates, times, detailed explanations, involved personnel, problem resolution, etc., and submit them to the technical manager.
  • Identify opportunities to minimize rework and waste, and promptly alert management to potential hazards.
  • Pursue continuous learning and implementation of new methodologies and technologies.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by cross-training within the electrical department and adapting to different areas as needed.
  • Proactively seek ways to enhance safety, prevent accidents, and contribute to a secure work environment at the company.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Education

  • Possesses an Associates Degree in Electric Technology or equivalent training and experience.

Experience

  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Capable of working with diverse data networks, including Ethernet, Modbus, Modbus plus, and Modbus TCP.
  • Actively participates in and manages a rotating "on-call" program, ensuring prompt availability to reach the company within 15 minutes when required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Proficient in HVAC systems, various electrical components, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and mechanical systems, with a deep understanding of their interrelations required.
  • Skilled in PLC programming and adept at troubleshooting, replacing, and programming VFDs required.
  • Required knowledge of control wiring, Modbus networking, SCADA systems, refrigeration, preventative maintenance, well pumps, and chlorine analyzers.
  • Extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical circuits, including 120/208V and 480/277V single and 3-phase power circuits, as well as control circuits of various medium voltages required.
  • Familiarity with plumbing or willingness to learn.
  • Competent in distinguishing and working with both digital and analog circuits.
  • Experienced in team management, adept at overseeing team performance and individual members' contributions.
  • Possesses exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Effective in verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to work 24/7 and overtime as necessary.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, positive attitude and a "can-do" approach to challenges.
