Description

AP Professionals has been engaged exclusively for a VP of Sales (individual contributor). This is a newly created position due to extreme growth. The ideal candidate will have deep connections in pharmaceutical distribution. Reporting directly to the Sr. Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to identify, cultivate, and secure new business. Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis – conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, potential customers, and growth opportunities within the pharmaceutical cold chain sector.
  • Business Strategy – Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Customer Engagement – Build and maintain strong relationships with key pharmaceutical industry stakeholders, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, logistics companies, and distributors.
  • Sales Pipeline Management – Lead the development and management of a robust sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Proposal Development – Prepare compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition to prospective clients.
  • Negotiating and Closing – Skillfully negotiate contracts and agreements, driving deals to closure while maximizing profitability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration – Collaborate closely with the product development/engineering and operations teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and market demands.
  • Reporting and Analysis – Regularly report on sales activities, forecasts, and results, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Compliance – Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements related to pharmaceutical packaging and distribution.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field. MBA Preferred.

Experience

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of successful business development experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and quotas.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with revenue deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and CRM are a plus
