Description

AP has been retained by our healthcare client in search of a Medical Billing Supervisor. This patient-centered organization is financially stable and offers an opportunity for growth. Responsibilities

  • Act as point of contact with third-party billing partners and insurance payers.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and reconcile claims with the general ledger.
  • Review reports, resolve billing issues, and communicate updates to leadership.
  • Oversee timely claim resubmissions, conduct weekly audits, and provide reports to the CFO.
  • Review and approve patient statements; support billing policy development and compliance.
  • Stay current on billing/coding updates and train staff as needed.
  • Supervise revenue cycle staff and manage related vendors.
  • Collaborate with credentialing team to ensure accurate billing processes.
  • Support front office, patient representatives, and providers with training and guidance.
  • Travel between sites as required.

Education

  • Associate degree in Medical Office Administration, Accounting, or related field (preferred).

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in medical billing and coding (required).
  • Prior experience with FQHC billing practices (preferred).
  • Certified Medical Billing Specialist or Certified Coder (highly preferred).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and strict adherence to confidentiality.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
