AP Professionals is partnering with a fast-growing company in search of a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant plays a pivotal role in overseeing crucial financial functions including sales tax management, billing operations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.


  • Compile and generate sales reports, ensuring accurate filing of sales tax returns across multiple states
  • Execute general ledger entries pertaining to sales tax filings
  • Conduct reconciliation of sales tax accounts to maintain precision in financial records
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of company billing policies and procedures
  • Process invoices for designated revenue segments with precision
  • Serve as a reliable backup for all billing procedures to ensure seamless operations
  • Familiarize oneself with the company's current accounts payable policies and procedures
  • Provide backup support for accounts payable functions to guarantee uninterrupted workflow
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and execute journal entries as instructed to ensure accuracy in financial records
  • Support in the preparation of financial statements to facilitate month-end procedures
  • Assist in generating monthly reports to aid in financial analysis and decision-making
  • Undertake additional tasks as delegated by superiors
  • Master and serve as backup for key departmental processes to maintain operational continuity


  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance


  • Bring 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting
  • Previous experience in public accounting is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of MAS or Sage Accounting System is advantageous but not mandatory
